World Elephant Day
On the occasion of World Elephant Day, the Department of Zoology, in collaboration with the Hornbill Club, celebrated World Elephant Day in the college on 12/08/2024. Dr. B. S. Wali spoke on the global distribution of elephant species, habitat structure, and elephant poaching. Dr. V. M. Lagade has emphasised the human-elephant conflict and its impact on elephant diversity. Finally, Dr. S. V. Bhosale has focused on the role of elephants in ecosystems. Our Alumni student Mr Suresh Patil shared his knowledge on elephant experience in field.
