World Lizard Day
On the occasion of World Lizard Day, the Department of Zoology, in collaboration with the Hornbill Club, Lizard Day was celebrated in the college on August 14, 2024. On this occasion Dr. V. M. Lagade spoke about various types of lizards and their roles in the ecosystem. He also emphasises on threats to lizards’ species and blind beliefs. Dr. B. S. Wali, the event’s president, delivered a presidential speech on lizard conservation. Ms. Bhagyatri Kamble, a T.Y.B.Sc. student, delivered an excellent speech on the importance of the lizard. Dr. S. V. Bhosale has expressed his appreciation for this event.
