World Vulture Awareness Day – Dept. of Zoology
On 2nd September, 2023, the Department of Zoology held a celebration of World Vulture Awareness Day. Dr. V. M. Lagade spoke on this occasion about the various vulture species that still exist on the Indian continent and explain their functions as scavengers in the ecosystem. He critically identifies the main dangers and factors that have led to a sharp decline in the vulture population in India. Additionally, he asked all students to take part in vulture awareness and conservation campaigns. Dr. Wali B. S. HoD, Dr. S. V. Bhosale, and 19 SY and TY BSc students attended this event.
